What is hydrophilic coating agent?
Hydrophilic coating agent is a polysilicate inorganic coating agent.

It forms a thin and strong supeprhydrophilic antifouling coating film, which exhibits superior stain inhibition property (self-cleaning effect). In addition, as its refractive index is low, transparency of glasses will increase.

Features
Easy application

Its viscosity is low, so it can be easily applied with a sponge or by spraying.

Strong coating film

As it is a polysilicate inorganic coating agent, its hard coating film with superior weather resistance will continues to deliver maximum performance.

Self-cleaning effect

When coated, silanol group will be formed to create a supeprhydrophilic silica film, and all the dirt on the film will get washed off when it rains.

Improved transparency

By thinly coating a material with low refractive index, it improves transparency.

Uses
Metal materials / ceramic exterior paints / tiles, etc.

Protection of base material and antifouling effect based on self-cleaning and antistatic properties.

Window glass for buildings

By applying it on the outside of the window panels, it protect them against dirt, and as a result cleaning frequency will be reduced.

Solar cell cover glass

Maintains and improves light transmissibility through protection against dirt and low refractive index.

Window glass of automobiles and trains

Improvement of transparency based on its hydrophilic property, and antifouling effect that lasts for a long time.

Mirrors

Antifog effect based on super supeprhydrophilic property.

Showered 4,000 ml/cm3 per hour, which is equal to 4,000mm hourly precipitation. This is almost equivalent to yearly amount of rainfall in Osaka.
24 hours (1 day) of showering equals to 24 years of rainfall.
The transition of the contact angle of the coated solar cell cover glass is indicated above.
